The product gives the lips shine and makes them visually larger. Thanks to its sticky consistency, the lip gloss perfectly holds on to the lips. In addition, it smooths and often moisturizes them. A homemade lip gloss is very easy to prepare, and at the same time efficient, but remember that before you put it onto your lips, you should run an allergy test on your wrist. How to make a lip gloss in the comfort of your own home?
Recipe for a homemade lip gloss
Ingredients:
- 4 teaspoons of Vaseline,
- 1 teaspoon of paraffin,
- 4 teaspoons of coconut oil,
- 4 white, pink (or other colours) sweets.
Directions:
First, prepare a plastic, transparent bag and place paraffin in it. Add coconut oil, petroleum jelly and dissolved candies, and blend all ingredients in the bag to obtain a homogeneous mass. Then, pour hot water into the transparent bowl and put the bag with ingredients in it. Make sure that the water level covers the ingredients. The heat will make all the ingredients combine into a homogeneous, smooth mass. Once you get it, squeeze the contents of the bag into a previously prepared clean package. Small screwed jars are ideal for this purpose. You may as well transfer the contents of the bag to an empty, clean face cream jar. Finally, store the product in the fridge until it obtains the consistency of a lip gloss.
Ready lip gloss can be applied with your fingertip or with a brush or spatula. The first solution is definitely more convenient, but a lot less hygienic.
