Before you shape your eyebrows, it’s best to devote a moment to nourish them poperly. To get dense and strong eyebrows, you need to provide them with the nutrients, such as vitamins A and E, biotin, silicon, zinc and iron. We find them in food, but also in the oils and professional eyebrow serums.
The method of care chosen depends mainly on your individual needs and your budget. It is only important that the result is thick brows that are ready for shaping.
Why is it important to shape your eyebrows?
Most often, we do it so that out eyebrows have an ideal shape. The ideal means one that fits our face, highlights its advantages and distracts attention from any flaws. The eyebrows will then not grow in the middle above the bridge of the nose which gives a very unattractive effect.
The most popular eyebrow-shaping methods
There are many ways to give the eyebrows the right shape. Some people reach for traditional tweezers and simply pluck the hairs. Others visit a parlour to have their unnecessary hairs removed with wax. In the Middle East the most popular method is threading. If those don’t sound right, there is also eyebrow trimming.
Which of the methods is the best? Each has its advantages and disadvantages. Each of them also works best when done on a regular basis.
1. Tweezers
This method involves pulling out the hairs with tweezers. Each single hair has to be caught and pulled out that is why this method is time-consuming and requires some focus. With tweezers it’s easy to omit thin and light hairs as we may simply not notice them.
2. Waxing
Eyebrow waxing requires a skilful hand of a technician so that only unnecessary hairs are removed. In the salon the professional applies liquid wax to the skin around the eyebrows and then pulls it off quickly. The advantage of this method is that all the hairs are removed with just one move. The disadvantage is the price, because the procedure must be repeated regularly.
3. Threading
This method originated in the Middle Eastern countries where women rely only on natural methods. Eyebrow threading involves the use of a cotton thread to pull out unnecessary hairs. The biggest drawback is that the procedure needs to be done by other person, who should have a lot of practice.
4. Trimming
Pulling out hairs is not always necessary. You can also remove them using a special trimmer. This gadget, that can be bought in a simple drugstore, looks like a small comb with a blade. It is easy to remove hair and give the eyebrows an ideal shape with it. Plus, it is painless. What’s the drawback then? The effects are less durable and the procedure needs to be repeated regularly every few days.
